Quimatryx has reached a strategic $92 million partnership with HiDiamond to develop an epigenetic anti-cancer drug

Quimatryx has reached a strategic partnership with the Chinese company HiDiamond worth up to $92 million to accelerate the development of its QTX125, an HDAC6 inhibitor anti-cancer compound. Under this agreement, HiDiamond will be responsible for conducting the full regulatory preclinical development and for submitting the application to the Chinese drug regulatory authorities to initiate clinical trials of the drug in China.

The Quimatryx compound QTX125 has shown efficacy in preclinical models of both solid tumors (such as pancreas and lung) and hematologic tumors (such as mantle cell lymphoma).

The agreement includes payments linked to the achievement of development and commercial milestones, as well as royalties on future sales. It also represents an opportunity to consolidate Quimatryx as a reference in epigenetic biotechnology and to highlight the potential of the scientific and pharmaceutical ecosystem in the Basque Country.

Quimatryx, part of the Oncomatryx group, will continue to drive innovation and the discovery of drugs against epigenetic targets, maintaining its commitment to quality, preclinical rigor, and safety.
